Privacy Policy

EvictEasy LLC ("EvictEasy," "we," "us") operates evicteasy.com. EvictEasy is a California landlord information, attorney directory, and advertising platform. We are not a law firm. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

When you start an inquiry

  • The rental property address you enter. We verify it with Google's address service and determine the county with the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder. Coordinates are used only for that lookup and are not stored. If you choose a county manually, we record that the county was selected by you.
  • Your answers about the rental and the situation (role, property type, issue, notice served, case filed, urgency, optional description).
  • Your contact details if you submit an inquiry: name, phone, email, and preferred contact method.
  • The law firms you selected, the consent text you agreed to, and the time you agreed.
  • Technical details: IP address, browser information, the page you arrived from, and campaign tags in the link you used.

When you ask to be notified about a county: your email address and the county.

When a law firm contacts us through the For Attorneys form: firm name, website, contact name and email, counties served, and any message.

Site analytics: we record usage events, such as when a county is checked or a profile is viewed, using a session identifier. We use this information to understand site usage and improve the service.

2. How we use information

  • To show you the attorneys serving your property's county and to build your Situation Summary.
  • To send your inquiry and contact details only to the law firms you selected, when inquiry delivery is active.
  • To let you know when online inquiries become available in your county, if you asked.
  • To respond to law firms, maintain directory listings, and run the EvictEasy Network.
  • To protect the service (spam and abuse prevention, rate limiting) and to understand which counties have demand.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with law firms you did not select.

3. Who receives information

  • Law firms you select. Each firm you select receives your inquiry and contact details and may contact you directly. Once delivered, the firm's own privacy practices apply.
  • Service providers that help us operate the platform, including providers of website hosting, database services, email delivery, address and location services, security and fraud prevention, and other technical infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

4. Law firm information

Directory listings are built from publicly available information (firm name, office city, website, practice description, and counties served) and, for participating firms, information provided or confirmed by the firm. Firms may request corrections or removal at any time through the For Attorneys page or by emailing info@evicteasy.com. Network and Network Plus placements are paid advertising and are labeled as such.

5. Retention

We keep inquiries and related records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your inquiry information (see section 7). Notification-list emails are kept until you ask to be removed or we stop the list.

6. Security

Inquiry details are reachable by firms only through unique, expiring links. We use access controls and encryption in transit. No method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and California rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us not to contact you, by emailing info@evicteasy.com. We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights. Note that information already delivered to a law firm you selected is held by that firm.

8. Children

EvictEasy is for adults handling rental property matters. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
